Reiki is the ancient art of clearing the energy pathways of the body. This extremely tranquil energy work relies on very light, non-manipulative touch. It is done fully clothed and with limited physical contact. Those that practice and receive Reiki often say they discover a truer connection to their “inner source”. While it may reveal stronger spiritual ties, there is no religious belief system attached to Reiki. It has been used to help the recovery process both physically and mentally for those challenged by illness, injury, or chronic pain. It would also be a wonderful session for someone looking for the soothing benefits of massage but not quite ready for the physical bodywork.

Deep Massage: The Lauterstein Method, as distinct from “deep tissue”, recognizes that our tension is created not by tissues, but rather by the nervous system, or more broadly, by our energy. Just as lights turn on or off only through the flow of electricity, so our muscle tension turns on or off depending on what the unconscious mind/energy tells them to do.
Using a high quality of touch, rather than just a high quantity of pressure results in deeper therapeutic benefits with less stress on both the giver and receiver.

"Somatics is a field within bodywork and movement studies which emphasizes internal physical perception and experience. The term is used in movement therapy to signify approaches based on the soma, or "the body as perceived from within". Wikipedia
Somatic massage focuses on the body's nervous system. The aim of somatic massage therapy is to help the body heal itself by relieving pain and tension. It can release trauma in the body, develop bodily awareness, aid in reconnection to the body, establish grounding, and promote self regulation of the body.
It is done fully clothed and the work is done within the pace of client's boundaries and experiences. Those who can benefit are those with PTSD, those struggling with substance abuse, or any person who has had or is currently experiencing trauma of any kind.

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a light touch, manual therapy that releases tensions and restrictions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve overall health.
A typical CST session lasts from 45-60 minutes, and takes place in a quiet setting. CST is performed with the client fully clothed and lying on a comfortable massage table. Using a light touch, the therapist evaluates or “listens to” the body for tension patterns and imbalances.
CST is beneficial for pain alleviation, stress and tension release, and increased energy flow and revitalization. It's effective for PTSD and stress disorders, chronic fatigue, chronic neck and back pain, migraines, headaches, and TMJ, and other dysfunctions.
